The Specialized Research Workshop on “Choosing the Right Journal: Beyond Impact Factor” is designed to equip faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, and researchers with practical skills for selecting credible and suitable journals for their research publications. The workshop will cover key aspects such as journal scope and suitability, indexing, journal metrics, Article Processing Charges (APCs), Open Access models, and publication practices. Participants will also learn how to verify journal credentials, identify predatory journals and misleading claims, and responsibly use AI-powered tools for journal discovery and evaluation. The 2-day online workshop, scheduled for 11–12 September 2026, will be conducted for 3 hours (1.5 hours each day) and will include an e-Certificate for participants. The participation fee is ₹499/-.
